It successfully delivers an in-depth look at fishing patterns in a variety of locations seen through the eyes of professionals. The "Team" offers proven techniques based on their success on the professional tours.

Unlike much prior fishing programming, which often featured staged catches and fishing on unpressured private lakes, Classic Patterns broke the mold by placing top professional anglers in situations often encountered by recreational and often other tournament fishermen. The episodes all take place on public waterways, under real-life conditions. If the fishing is tough, that reality is reflected, although more often than not the pros figure out how to make the most of even bad situations. What you see is what you get.

Featured bass fishing professionals include 2008 Bassmaster Classic winner Alton Jones, along with Tim Horton, Edwin Evers, Terry Scroggins, Dave Wolak and Matt Reed. Notably, each of them has claimed victory in BASS MASTER competition.
